About Us
stronger
together
Manning & District Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) is a locally operated, provincially supported program focused on strengthening individuals, families, and the community through prevention-based initiatives.

We are part of a province-wide network of FCSS programs in Alberta, made possible through a unique 80/20 funding partnership between the Government of Alberta and the local municipality. This model allows communities like ours to design and deliver services that reflect local needs, values, and priorities.

At the heart of our work is the belief that supporting people early—before challenges become crises—leads to healthier, more resilient communities. From youth programs and family resources to senior support and community outreach, we are here to foster connection, well-being, and belonging for all residents of the Manning region.

How We Work
At Manning & District FCSS, we
believe meaningful support begins
with understanding the unique needs
of our community. That’s why we work
in close collaboration with local residents, organizations, schools, and volunteers to develop programs that are both relevant and responsive.

Our Approach
Our approach is rooted in prevention—offering services and supports that build skills, reduce
isolation, and strengthen resilience
before more serious challenges arise.
We focus on creating accessible,
inclusive spaces where individuals and
families feel empowered to grow,
connect, and thrive.

Our goal is to walk alongside the people we serve—offering tools, encouragement, and opportunities to build a stronger future together.
Manning & District FCSS is proud to be part of Alberta’s larger network of Family and Community Support Services programs. Through our connection with the Family and Community Support Services Association of Alberta (FCSSAA), we have access to a wealth of shared resources, research, and professional development opportunities that strengthen our local impact.

This province-wide collaboration helps ensure that our community benefits from consistent, evidence-informed practices while maintaining the flexibility to deliver services that reflect the specific needs of the Manning region. By working together with other FCSS programs across Alberta, we are stronger, smarter, and better equipped to support individuals and families at the local level.
